Untours Foundation Staff

Harold (Hal) Taussig, Director, holds a PhD in history from the University of Pennsylvania. He is the founder and co-owner of Untours, a unique travel business. In 1999, Hal won an award and $250,000 from Paul Newman and John F. Kennedy, Jr. on behalf of George Magazine for having the "Most Generous Company in America." Untours is the first B Corp, a new ethical certification for businesses. The Untours Foundation provides loans to businesses and projects that address poverty.

Elizabeth Killough, Foundation Manager, holds a Masters of Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh. She directed an anti-hunger organization and co-directed an organization that addressed US policy toward Central America. She was self-employed for a decade leading retreats and consulting on organizational development for businesses and non-profits. A long time peace activist, Elizabeth focuses on sustainable development issues as the avenue to peace.

Stanley T. "Tom" Hibberd III holds a business degree from the Wharton School. He is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and has owned an insurance company in Media for over 40 years. He is involved locally in the Media Rotary Club and Media Business Authority, The Media Theatre as board chairman, and the Delaware County Historical Society as a past president. He is well known for his mentoring of business people in Media and young adults through the ABC program for promising students from difficult urban backgrounds. The Hibberds have hosted 10 Rotary Exchange students, two ABC students, one foster daughter, and quite a number of long and short term guests from all kinds of places and backgrounds. Tom has been a major force on the foundation's Fair Trade committee.

Isabel "Dolly" Johnson was an adjunct faculty member in the Sociology Department at Villanova University for over 15 years. Prior to that she was active in the mental health profession serving in a local community mental health center in addition to having a clinical private practice as a trained Family Therapist. She has worked with Head Start and early childhood issues. Currently, she is a Clinical Social Worker/Family Therapist at the Movement Disorders Center at Pennsylvania Hospital.

Mary C. LeFever earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from West Chester University and post-graduate credits from the University of Pennsylvania and from Penn State & Widener Universities. She holds a Montessori Diploma from St. Nicholas Training Center in London. Mary founded The Walden School in Media, PA, a then nursery/kindergarten Montessori school that has blossomed and now includes classes through 8th grade.

Victor Mallet holds an undergraduate chemical engineering degree from MIT and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He specialized in minority owned business development for a business incubator in Philadelphia. Helping a struggling Untours Foundation loan recipient, Victor brought a pickle company to life including having it featured on American Public Radio's "Marketplace." Currently, Victor is in his homeland of Ghana working with an emerging energy generation company.

Alix Rabin holds a B.A. in Linguistics from Temple University and has completed graduate course work at the University of Pennsylvania and New York University. She is an administrative principal and research analyst at Praxis Consulting Group, a founding B Corp and employee-owned organization-development consulting firm based in Philadelphia. She previously worked as a travel program administrator at Untours and has served on the board of the Untours Foundation since its founding.

Robert T. Seiwell holds a law degree from Temple University. A Vietnam veteran, Robert has retired from a successful law practice in Media, PA. Robert has provided pro bono legal services to the foundation since its inception.

Treasurer: Norma Taussig was a rancher and bank teller before spending several decades as a secretary for the Intermediate Unit of the Rosetree Media School District. She was the Comptroller of Untours, Ltd. for 20 years.

Brian Taussig-Lux is general manager of Untours. He holds an MBA in Environmental Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and serves on the Environmental Advisory Council in Media Borough, PA.
